She clicks her tongue, and nods, reaching out for Taylor's hand to hold it.
"I agree. And even if you were to be getting irresponsible, I would still agree. I don't know if you know this but my husband Laszlo is here as an inmate. It was always troubling to worry about whether he could defend himself if some fucking asshole were to come and murder him."
Taylor's a little surprised at the casual contact, but she allows it, since the spider and web are on the other hand.
"I met Laszlo. After the... weird... town thing. Where he was my step-father and somehow also Santa Claus." She trails off a bit, because that entire situation was just so strange.
"Must suck that you don't get to be his warden. Does he have one?"
Nadja is all about physical connections, and holds Taylor's hand carefully in both of hers.
"Oh, that thing. Ugh, don't remind me. I hate most breaches."
She shudders, briefly.
"Yes, he has one. Although I think it's a good thing we aren't warden-and-inmate. What if he were to do something silly or stupid? And I had to tell him what to do, as both his wife and jailor? You can't really be both. It's bad enough already."
"I know it's kind of rude, to have the first thing I contact you be a favor this big. You don't know me. But you can ask my friend's warden, Kiryu, if you need a character witness."
"Darling, you needn't ask." She says, casually. "I'm happy to do this thing for you. You should be free to do whatever it is you like here. How are you going to do that if this fucking Jacobi person is going around making others do terrible things?"
"I'm not out for revenge. I'll settle for being able to take better preventative measures. If anyone else wants to make him think twice about leaving Zero... can't say I'd think poorly of them for it."
She holds up her hand, and makes the spider gather itself up and hop delicately from fingertip to fingertip.
"Bugs. I can control them and use their senses. Normally, my range is about a quarter mile in any direction, as many as I can find. Since I arrived here, it's been fifty, fifty-five feet out, and barely a handful at a time. I think the most I've managed here was three hundred or so. Which is... three hundred bees would fit in a teacup. Three hundred fruit flies fit in a pill capsule. It's not a lot."
"Oooh. Lovely, darling, you are a creepy crawly like me." She exclaims, pleased. "Well done. Are there many bugs here? That is a very difficult, very special gift."
"Not as many as I'd like - kind of a bottled ecosystem. But there are the bees, and I've been breeding everything I could get my hands on since I came aboard. We brought mosquitos back from the last port, those have been very useful. And Iris gave me hornets and wasps, and Kiryu got me some Darwin's bark spiders - for the webbing - and bloodworms." Taylor smiles again, a little amused at herself.
Nadja gives a nod, and reaches for her communicator.
"Well. That is good, then. All right, let's speak to the Admiral, shall we? I don't know if he will let me release your powers for longer than a month but I can certainly try. "
