[Xie Lian knocks on the door. If he's not answered, he's fully prepared to sit on the floor and wait. Really, having the chance to mediate a little might be for the best.]

[From inside comes the subtle sounds of ABBA's Mamma Mia playing on an ancient tv at full volume]

[Xie Lian often can't decide whether or not he likes the very different types of music he's heard since arriving on the Barge, but he would say that it's generally interesting. He's not currently in a mood to properly appreciate it, but it's not the worst sound track to a little quiet meditation. Nadja will come out eventually, and there's nothing to prevent him from waiting for that.]

[She's watching the movie. It's long. It's two hours long and consists mostly of singing]

[He's willing to wait days, if necessary, though the Barge being slightly to perilous to completely remove his attention from the world around him does mean he forms a mental picture of what's going on in the songs that doesn't exactly correspond to the movie.]

[Nadja will eventually fall asleep to it, as she worries over Makima's rats. Sorry Xie Lian. She's Done for a while]

[If she leaves her room later that day, or the next day, she'll find Xie Lian still sitting there. He has vast wells of patience and even stricter feelings on duty.]

[And lo, from the depths of the coffin at 3am, comes Nadja. She's hungry; she'd like to feed now, please.

She opens the door and scoffs when she lays eyes on Xie Lian.]

Go on; fuck off.

I'm afraid I can't do that. Not until after we talk, at least.

[He is extremely hard to get rid of, when there's something he's focused on.]

[Nadja scoffs, and waves a hand in dismissal] You shit-for-brains. No one will make me talk.

I certainly can't make you talk [an easy agreement]. But I can make things much more annoying than they have to be. Right now, this is just between a few people. It can be made into a matter for the whole ship, including people who have powers you might not want to be involved. [Especially if she's covering for someone else.]

And if I were to kill you for your insolence? I could do so very fucking easily.

[She is raging, just a little, and is extra defensive of her inmate]

That doesn't seem very likely, and if you did kill me, I would come back and the problem would simply be bigger.

You are giving me a headache. Go away, before I curse you into silence.

[She waves a hand dismissively, moving to walk by Xie Lian]

I'm not going to do that.

It really does seem like it would be much easier for you to just have the conversation.

[Nadja waves her hand again, aiming to knock Xie Lian off his feet and into the wall telekinetically. It may not work, but she's getting more annoyed as the 'conversation' goes on]

[He is knocked back into the wall, but that's not something that's going to come close to knocking him off course.]

This really isn't an efficient way to have a conversation...
